When we go shopping, one of the first things we look at is the clothing label. This happens for a variety of reasons. For some people, they just would not be caught wearing certain labels over others. Some people look at labels because they have a favorite shirt or pair of jeans of a certain type of label. They convince themselves this is the only label for them despite the fact their could be something much cheaper and just as comfortable on the clearance rack. Here are some good reasons to check for labels that don’t involve being frugal.
1.) Paying for quality- There is a difference between paying for quality and paying for a name. There are certain companies that capitalize on clever marketing and models in order to sell their clothes for extraordinary prices. If you are paying for a name, then you are making that choice and it’s your prerogative. If you goal however is to pay what is necessary for quality, then do some online shopping. For instance, a $20 pair of jeans is likely to be of inferior quality. Instead, research good quality jeans that cost about $10 more. These jeans are likely to last you as long as the highest priced jeans, you just won’t be contributing to an expensive ad campaign.
2.) If you are married to a label, look online- Many people essentially get married to a brand by wearing the same type all the time. The best thing to do in this situation is to shop comparatively. Look at the sites online store to find some great deals on out of season items. Ebay, Overstock and other auction sites can be a great way to save.
