Baseball is America’s pastime and shopping for baseball cards is still a hobby some people enjoy. The business of card collecting is seen as not as lucrative now as it was ten or twenty years ago. In terms of sheer numbers of collector’s it may be true that there are less collector’s these days. The collector’s who are still in the game are no less rabid now then they were in the 1990′s. Today’s game is different as now valuable cards are graded by one of a handful of professional companies. Depending on the grade they get, they either increase or decrease in value. A perfect ten grading of a valuable card can mean a great score so today’s collector’s are always looking for those perfect grades. Here are a couple places to get some great deals on baseball cards.
1.) eBay- The ultimate online marketplace is also perhaps the best place in the world to buy sports cards. If you’re lucky, you can get on to some auctions that relatively few people are viewing or planning to bid on. Looks for great cards that have yet to be graded but appear to be in perfect condition. It’s best to look for high rating sellers who tell you their cards are in perfect condition. These sellers will not risk their feedback score by lying so the condition of the card has got to be near perfect. Take a chance on these cards if the price is right and get them graded for the bet possible profit.
2.) TV auctions- Have you ever seen the late night TV auctions in which a guy is yelling about how he has the baseball card deal of the century? Well, you were most likely part of a very small audience that night. The fact that these shows run overnight in a good thing for the consumer. Fewer people are up that late watching TV which means les people to compete with for great deals.
